Taipau 9:10 AM amazing , artistry , cognac , drinking , drunk , epic , events , fun , happening , happiness , hennessy , night , penang
It was that time again where I flew up with a group of bloggers and media for yet another spectacular Hennessy Artistry with promise of great music, splendid company and magnificent Hennessy Cognac.
This year it was no exception as about 20 of us flew up to Penang and once again embark on that journey to experience the sensation super clubbing experience. It's very impressive that year after year the Hennessy Artistry never fails to bring you full enjoyment with it's detailed arrangement of performances and a set up that matches it as well. While others might argue about the huge crowd but what is Hennessy Artistry without people to enjoy it with, one should just bring your glass over to the next table and cheers the night away!
It was an early flight for us scheduled at 8.10am at Subang Airport, surprisingly everyone was wide awake and arrive on time too! After the usual travel procedures we were off to G- Hotel where I will be staying for the second time, I look forward to it because they have really nice room and services.
When we arrive at G-Hotel we had to wait for the conference to start as we were one hour ahead of schedule (amazing isn't it?) kudos to the PR teams arrangement. We were moved to a waiting lounge where Hennessy, Coffee, Tea, Ice Cream and some finger food were served.
The gorgeous Julie Woon would be hosting the conference as well as the night of Hennessy Artistry later on, you don't have to worry about her doing it alone because she is as good as 5 emcee with an attitude to boot! Let's just say that you would be impress with her all the way.
Hong Kong Hip Hop Artist 24 herbs, Australian DJ Andy Murphy and Singaporean DJ Nicole Chen will be bringing the best of Hennessy Artistry on to the stage that night.
24herbs stole the limelight most of the time with their witty humour and charisma but engage very well with the charming Andy Murphy and lovely Nicole Chen, these guys are probably the best combination to have any press conference due to their spontenous and outgoing attitude. It wasn't too ambitious to say that everyone of the media enjoyed the conference. It was a pleasure meeting with them and talking to them as well.
After the conference, we picked up our card and headed for our rooms and mind you it was one blogger per room, thank Hennessy for the very delightful surprise and experience! The biggest surprise was when I reached my room and opened the door. I could't find my bed!!! All I saw was a kitchen top and a L shape sofa -_- , den i realized there was another door and it led to my bed. ish. MASSIVE ROOM!
Kinda wish the rest of my friends were here, big and nice but a bit lonely hahaha. After a while I headed out for lunch with Bok, Anna and the double Kelly combo didn't manage to grab nice pictures but Mee Sotong at Fort Cornwallis is the BOMB.
Went back to my temporary crib after lunch and dozed off, woke up and get ready for the night and set off to the lobby and into the bus! We arrive relatively early and was immediately usher into a waiting lobby with everyone else enjoy the Long drinks that we all love!
There were a few notable changes to the Hennessy set up and one most obvious change was the escalated DJ console on top of the bar to keep every entertained and spun by Alex Asquared from Deer society, there was also a LED visual board with a dancer dancing in front of it and a Hennessy Moment booth where you take your pic and let the whole world know that you will be having the night your life soon.
When it was time to head on into the awesome palace of Hennessy Artistry, everyone was delighted!
The man who made all of this possible on the right hand side! :) Thank you!
Nicole and Melissa totally enjoying it!
Bumped into Jane and her friends as well~ She go where also popular wan
So much smiles and Hennessy!
Of course the charming guys from 24 herbs!
As the night blew by with great music and hennessy, we will always remember nights like this thanks to Hennessy Artistry and will certainly look forward to the next one! Bring it on and never end!
Those I was there with great friends shot and finally to end the post of an epic night is this one from Boss Vivian. Totally drunk with happiness.
Wait for the next Hennessy Artistry and let's have yet another epic night! :)
H-Artistry, The Global Art of Mixing at SPICE Penang turned out to be a night that delivered a sensational mix of sight, sound and taste in one party. Party goers can now look forward to the next H-Artistry event of 2013 in November or by keeping it locked on www.h-artistry.com.my. H-Artistry events are by-invite-only, and are open to non-Muslims aged 18 above.

Taipau 9:36 AM corona , firefly , happenings , koh samui , life , lifestyle , relaxed , thailand , travelsI think I get way over excited when I go for trips, even a trip to the toilet needs me to summon all my willpower to NOT tweet about it.
But it's mostly because I am vy under travelled... Taiwan, Singapore and now Thailand are the only places I have been overseas and even within Malaysia also I have only been to a handful of places. So I can be excited if I wantz to ok? Pls? :D
Camwhoring before departure. Ah Dark and Ah Light. LOL
The last Lansi picture before departure.
The flight was by Firefly, seats were a bit straight even though u can adjust but it wouldn't be fair for the dude behind so it was a little suffering but a 2 hour flight was alright just force urself to doze off and u should be fine!
A serene welcome and I breathed in Thailand air for the first time. Not much different laaaar! XD
We were immediately escorted into vans that sit 9 but they kept us at 6 per car to keep us comfortable and after 15 mins ride through the beach side town we reached our lovely resort " Chaweng Buri Resort" which to my surprise wasn't some huge building but was actually a massive clump of individual villas for each pair which really gave a "getaway" feel.
For most of the time we were chilling in the room watching Running man on my phone through the resort's speedy internet, walking out to the beach for a nice stroll. The best times to enjoy the beach are in the mornings before the sun comes out and around 10-ish later right after you have you breakfast. We woke up super early in hopes of catching the sunrise but was welcomed by a small drizzle and thunder clouds at sea, it was still nice though and we were joined by a few dogs as well :)
Of course, we roamed the streets at night in search of cheap merchandises, authentic eateries ( unfortunately Koh Samui Chaweng Street was almost fully commercialized with international fat food chains and bars), the occasional street food and of course all the party streets and massage parlours. The thing about this place is that you gotta explore every nook and cranny for the best bits. :P
One particular place that needs a good mention is "Ninja Crepes", a restaurant along the street that serves cheap and authentic Thailand style food, keeping it's wasted urban look, the place reflects how a local food parlour should look and with a group of friendly staff the place was booming with locals and tourists alike. I would give this place a go for good and cheap food.
Koh Samui is definitely a place to drop by for a few days of getaway, you can also go on the island hopping trips to snorkel at Koh Tao, one of the best snorkelling spots in the world but another than that it's really a good place to rest and relax. Alternatively, Koh Samui is also the land of awesome partying with the full moon party happening every month with ferry services to Koh Pangan so you will be entertain which ever way you prefer. I am quite sure it will be quite an experience to attend the full moon party one day but do go in a big group ya? :)
A big thank you to Corona Extra for organizing the contest (http://www.benjaminfoo.com/2013/04/corona-extra-brings-you-to-koh-samui.html) and allowing me to travel to Koh Samui with the beloved GF. Corona Extra is truly suitable for the title " Best Holiday Beer" in my opinion and I am quite sure many would agree. :)
Hope to be able to go travelling more ^^. Can't wait for my company trip to Phuket! But now I leave you all with a few more shots of the trip!

Taipau 9:17 AM after movie credits , car , chase , fast , fast 7 , furious , furious 7 , movie , post credit , review , statham
Title: Fast & Furious 6
Genre: Thriller/ Crime/ Action
Running Time: 130 Minute
Agent Luke Hobbs enlists Dominic Toretto and his team to bring down former Special Ops soldier Owen Shaw, leader of a unit specializing in vehicular warfare. That being said, the crew teams up to foil a highly trained drivers and military operative's plan to create a devastating device plus resolving a ghost from the past.
What do I think about it:-
I am pretty sure I didn't get the memo that Fast & Furious 6 was re-written into a cop movie.
It's the 6th in the franchise and probably the most far-fetched film of the money milking series, the whole plot seemed to be a far off fantasy right out of the screen writers mind.
With over the top jargons and un-impressive car scenes, Furious 6 took away the fast and it became just another action flick with it's tanks and guns and testorones and girls and of course vy limited showcase of cars ( did everyone else finally realize that wrecking their cars wasn't the best marketing plan?)
Furious 6 was a joy ride for action junkies but it's exaggerations of the action scenes were far too unrealistic for my enjoyment and the convenient storyline just somehow makes it too unrelatable. There was a tank, there was a plane a few people die on the way and if you take it far enough you might get a tv series coming out really soon.
It was entertaining but not impressive and I personally find it dull. What happened to the car races, the adrenaline pumping tight corners and the impressive camera work that first made the franchise famous?
Post movie scene:
The scenes shows the car chase when Sung Kang crashes and die, revealing the person who slammed into him none other than Jason Statham which makes him the obvious villian for a Fast 7 film and the brother of Fast 6's protaganist possibly taking revenge for his brother's death. ( Now that this scene it shown, they nv DID explained who crashed Sung Kang in Fast & Furious Tokyo Drift... great plot tie-in or just over adapting?)
After my recent experience with the Lotus Convoy ( http://www.benjaminfoo.com/2013/04/the-host-and-largest-lotus-car-convoy.html ) It definitely was a great experience to be inside a sports car racing along the streets thus making Furious 6 somewhat mild in terms of properly showcasing the speed that was very apparent in the first movie. :(
"I missed the adrenaline rush and the unique car showcases"

Taipau 12:06 AM call , carlsberg , friendship , random , sharing , this call for a carlsberg , time for beer , time for carlsberg , videoAn interesting video was being circulated two months ago, featuring a couple of guys that somehow couldn't pay their debts over a gambling game and is force to call their friend whom they think will come over and pay up in the middle of the night. Before I go into a short discussion let's watch the video.
Now, a few things pop into my mind when I watch this. Besides arguing the fact that this might be staged and edited and stuff like that, how many of you could be confident that YOUR best friend would rush over to haul your ass out of the danger?
I probably can name a few and would be confident that they will come, so how about you? How many do you have? I am quite sure you would be delighted if he/she did come and save you and alternately become devastated if they don't.
So do you have any friends that can come and save your ass without hesitating?
If you do, I am pretty sure "It calls for a Carlsberg." :)
