Movie Review: Rush (2013)

Title: Rush
Language: English
Genre: Action/Race/Drama
Running Time: 90 Minutes

Synopsis:
A re-creation of the 1970s rivalry between Formula One rivals James Hunt and Niki Lauda. A Docu film about the hardship and endurance these two people had to go through in the world where each race might be your last.

What do I think about it:-
This one goes into the Hall of Fame of great sports drama films without a question.

It's been a while since Hollywood produced such a simple yet meaningful film that gets the job done.

Both Chris Hemsworth and David Gruhl did a brilliant job, Chris shook off that thor-ness in him and David Bruhl was just so convincing in his character portrayal that it instantly generated a love-hate relationship between me and Niki Lauda.

The fact that this was all based on the 1976 F1 rivalry between James Hunt and Niki Lauda and the director and writers managed to capture the many truly important aspect of the man to man rivalry gives the respect that those two drivers deserve.

Instead of glorifying the film with breathtaking car scenes, the film was more on the lives of each driver and the similar yet completely different struggles that each of them face.

Though the car scenes were not exaggerated to modern blockbuster quality, the camera angles and active camera shooting and editing create an even better scene than most exploited action movies.

Topped with an impressive score by Hans Zimmer, I personally like the one that was played when Niki participated his first race after his crash.

Aside from the kids, every other person should find this film either inspirational, fantastic or just nice both in the emotional and visual aspect.

Rating: 5/5 ( Probably a first)

" I find myself wanted to applaud after the film but refrained as it would probably just be me doing it. Which I found disappointing because this clearly celebrate much better film making than those of Avengers or Dark Knight but of course they are of different genre and appeal."

After thoughts: You should probably read up on the 1976 F1 season and about the two drivers, the stories are compelling and inspiring in many degrees.
