Title: Badges Of Fury 不二侦
Language: Cantonese
Genre: Action Comedy
Running Time: 98 Minute

Synopsis:-
When a spate of eerie murders erupts across Hong Kong two cops are assigned to the case. Young maverick WANG and grizzled vet HUANG who is fed up with his reckless younger partner always landing them in hot water. Reaching a dead end after discovering all the victims were former boyfriends of aspiring starlet LIU, one of them must go undercover as Liu's lover to lure the killer out.

What do I think about it:-

Despite Jet Li being in the film, one should not take this film seriously at any point. With just one linear plot, the film manages to continually exploit various parodies and pay tribute to films and culture such as Police Stories, Hong Kong Mobsters as well as the supernatural genre that Hong Kong film to use.

While the action is exaggerated to an unforgivable level, it is hard to believe that all these weren't intentional and with that many parody and reference fitted into the film and at the end still manage to bring the plot back on the right track, I found myself smiling through the film catching glimpse and moments where familiar quotes and scene just pops out of nowhere.
The acting, especially the body language were pretty bad most of the time it is still acceptable, however most of it would then be destroyed by unconvincing dubs ( just like the trailer, the ending credit showed some behind the scene footage and everything sounds much better when it was in Chinese instead canton dubbed seperately)

The impeccable casting crew to include the baby face Michelle Chen, boob overloading Ada Liu, and the beautiful and elegant Liu Shi Shi completes the female actress lineup while Jet Li and Wen Zhang are often outshine, they provide that decent support roll.

The cameos appearing in the movie are a true gem, down to familiar extras and big names taking on minor rolls, it's just a box full of surprises and when you are able to identify 90% of them, you know u were once a Hong Kong Entertainment fan.

Rating: 1.5/5 - It's not for anyone but I enjoyed watching it but that's just me. You should give it a try only if your are somewhat able to understand most cantonese and fluent in Hong Kong Films.

Note*- Jet Li WAS the one who made Wong Fei Hung a cinematic Icon back in the days.
