Movie Review: Hummingbird 2013

Title: Hummingbird
Language: English
Genre: Thriller/ Crime/ Mystery
Running Time: 100 Minute

Homeless and on the run from a military court martial, a damaged ex-special forces soldier navigating London's criminal underworld seizes an opportunity to assume another man's identity -- transforming into an avenging angel in the process.

What do I think about it:-

Starting to really hope they get this guy a decent movie to star in, something that builds more character because all he does is talk with a very low harsh voice and taking 10 people alone. Despite the cliche-ness of Jason Statham, hummingbird was a slow pace movie but it was only slow enough to drag you through 100 minutes of a very bad time.

I do applaud the detailed visualization of England and it's cities during those era, where crimes are just the same as pillow talks, where human rights were not even in effect yet and the harsh reality of homeless people in the streets.

A simple production to detail without the special effects and the elaborate action it does give a glint of hear pain but failed to bring this whole thriller into a sympathetic and enjoyable. Most of the story focused on Jason Stathams's struggle to bounce back from his army past but fails to fully development the emotion that swells within someone with that story. Blame it on the script and Statham's one channel acting.

Rating: 0.5/5

"You can probably skip this one, Statham being a weaker Statham but he ends up transporting as well, so the screenwriters really need to buck up like A LOT"
