The passion to serve people doesn't come cheap because it takes someone with great passion and interest to keep it alive. It needs to be nurtured and to be equipped with the proper skill sets to be able to provide the best and let the the satisfaction of a smile be fulfilled.

Remember those times that even after school you would also be ushered to another place that feels just like school? Those notorious tuition centres that serves it's only purpose as sucking additional cost for the same kind of knowledge they are teaching you in school.

We Love Asia continues the Rave weekend I had right after Swedish House Mafia, with a dozen of local and international acts. Ravers and party goers treated themselves to a weekend full of the craziest acts and the most epic times.
I have to say that the organizers did a good job moderating traffic and providing a good sounds system for the performances and with such a big venue everyone was allowed to party as much as they want!
Came for Redfoo with his party rock crew and the king of stage diver, Steve Aoki. It went balistic when they came on.
Taipau 3:03 AM 2013 , android , HTC Butterfly , mobile , new , phones , plans , samsung , sony Xperia , telco
Three of the latest Android smartphones arrive on Celcom.
It's always a delightful tune when you here about new phones available for purchase at your local telco companies and Celcom always seems to be the first for many new models.
What's it about:-
In a story where witches are feared for harming citizens and kidnapping innocent childrens, a heroic duo emerges from the dark times to vanquish these evils. With a tragic past and the ability to not die because of witch's direct spell they sought to earn money and save people along the way/
What are my thoughts on the movie:-
An over-hyped trailer often leads to the usual main stream acton fantasy films that many have come to enjoy and film makers acquire for to earn a living.
Re-working the story of old fairy tales is starting to bore me and nothing fresh ever comes our of it, a poorly established environment deems the movie forgettable after every 20 mins. Most of the time you were wondering if you are still at the introductory stage in the film with no solid involvement of any character even the protagonist, origins of certain characters are left unexplained and died as well.
Jeremy Renner gives no love for his character, the emo and somewhat angry Hansel that does not want to mention their dead parents. Gretel (Gemma Arterton) gives her best yet unconvincing role besides her very talented cleavage that deems a great distraction to many.
Plenty of uncut gore that could make some winch but serves nothing more than just mere visual excitement. The characters and the story both were un inspiring and unengaging and it feels like watching a 3 part Justice League series. A pitiful ride that gives cheap thrills in the form of melee fighting and big guns plus a lot of running and chasing around.
The music score was not that much of an influence either despite the opening and ending themes.
Standard action, a few troll (not sure intended or otherwise) scenes and it will rake some serious box office before deemed unworthy.
Rating:- 1.5/5 (Gemma's distracting in your face (probably) built for 3D cleavages adds a 0.5) XD
" Gretel: This is Hansel & Gretel, and this is WItch Hunt! (follows with lots of punishment by the witches punching kicking and slashing about. Kinda like Jackass the movie. An action movie that might be best to watch at home. "

After announcing their split mid of last year and an one last tour announcement, we were fortunate enough to be selected as one of the venues for this final epic show. Kuala Lumpur has finally made it's mark up there with the EDMs finest places but we still have million of miles to go in terms of organizing and this was very obvious as the organizers of this JS Concert had been a true let down when it comes to organizing raves.
Last minute cancellation of raves, the lax attitude of crowd control, irresponsible time management (set started 30mins earlier) and the weak ability to mange it's social media page when confronted with a crisis but luckily most of these seem insignificant when Swedish House Mafia lit up the stage.
The X zone was already packed when I got there, but we managed to squeeze in and it was one heck of EDM ride!
Thank you XPAX for the awesome X Zone pass, please give me more! :)
Opened by DJ Nikki, Mr. Fluff and DJ Eclipse, the Swedish House Mafia set was somehow 30 mins earlier which caused me to missed the epic "We Come, We Rave, We Love" opening accompanied by Greyhound, can't describe how disappointed I was about this. Again, faulty organizing.
Ripping some of their best and the greatest mix of all time, Sebastian Ingrosso, Axwell and Steve Angelo blasted the skies of Sunway Surf beach and one seem to care about the constant drizzle. That's how crazy we were!
Raves are things that you can never experience fully unless your are there in the middle of it, the overwhelming hype around you will sweep you along if you are one of those that enjoy such music and each set will be etched in your mind, each one is an irreplaceable experience.

I shall leave you all with a short video I recorded and uploaded.

Taipau 3:48 AM asia , awesome , championship , events , fight club , happening , MMA , Muay Fit , One FC
Ever since being exposed to the world of MMA and other various fighting tournament and matches last year, it was a pleasure to be invited to participated in a small demo workshop held at Muay Fit by none other than the two combatants of the ONE FC: Return of Warriors event on the 2nd of Feb.
What's it about:-
Due to some freakish incident, two girls were left to survive alone in the forest with an entity that seems to take care of them all the time. When being found five years later by the brother of the two girl's father, they were being re educated into living and adapting like human beings but something else followed them back.
What are my thoughts on the movie:-
By mixing in the a blend of cheap loud scares and a mysterious figure, the movie presents itself in a creepy fashion that many would find hard to digest.
Relying too much on loud noises kinda took away that eerie vibe that it channeled at the early parts of the movie and later unfolds into a nothing more than a rushed ending.
It is scary up to a certain point and then after you have seen the face of MAMA one too many times, it becomes redundant and all you want to do was it to end. Which it DID, but in the most unconvincing and rushed out fashion that many horror flicks tend to do nowadays.
The film itself with it's script had a good potential but fails to bring it to the big screens as a compelling story because it becomes predictable from mid film onwards.
"It's a fail proof horror flick with a creepy spirit and distorted children and adding in the proper sounds scares and you get girls jumping off their seats and guys squirming in their chairs. But after that you feel nothing but the image of the wild child crawling around."
PS. the movie kinda reminded me of a thai crap film i watched last year. http://www.benjaminfoo.com/2012/07/mae-nak-2012-thai-ghost-story.html

Taipau 8:48 AM charity , drinks , events , food , happenings , mcd , prosperity gives back , prosperity mean
It doesn't come as a surprise to many that McDonald is once again taking the lead in giving back to the community, this year around banking on the success of it's annual Prosperity meal.
This time around
- McDonald’s will be raising proceeds for more than 60 local charity homes on 19th and 20th January 2013.
- RM1 will be donated to the ‘Prosperity Gives Back’ campaign with every purchase of a Prosperity Meal.
- ‘PROSPERITY’ is Happiness, Friendship, Love, Satisfaction, Peace, Abundance, Sharing, Family, Affection and Joy.
As spokespeople, the radio announcers will not only share their experience of PROSPERITY and the values that stand for it with Malaysians nationwide – on January 19th and 20th, they will all be at McDonald’s Kota Damansara Drive-Thru from 11:00am onwards to serve Malaysians as volunteers and happiliy joined by local celebrities such as Dennis Lau, Chelsia Ng and Julie Woon and followed by several familiar bloggers that are more than keen to participate in this campaign.
When asked ask as to what was the motivation for such a campaign, Sarah Casanova the managing director of Mcdonald's Malaysia AND Singapore says:-
“McDonald’s has always stood by giving back to those in need and bringing benefit to local communities in all our operations worldwide. Throughout our 31 years in Malaysia, we have undertaken many community outreach initiatives that have benefited various communities. Prosperity Gives Back marks the first 2013 community initiative by McDonald’s to touch as many lives, as far reaching as possible across the nation,” said Sarah Casanova,
“We want to enable caring Malaysians to spread and share prosperity with those in need while enjoying their favourite peppery treat because one of the key values of PROSPERITY is sharing. ‘Prosperity Gives Back’ gives us that opportunity to do so. It does not only spread joy amongst the disadvantaged that shall be receiving but it will also give a great satisfaction to those who will be giving,” She added.
There are two ways that you can support this cause:-
1. On the 19th and 20th January, head out to Mcdonald's and order a properity meal, it's also available at the drive through and even the delivery service as well. You can even tag #mcdpgb on instagram with your meal to show your support :)
2. Log on to www.mymcd.com.my/prosperity and share you stories of encouragement and inspiration in hopes to motivating the next individual in line!
Do stop by the Mutiara Damansara branch and show your support too if you are nearby because A few fellow bloggers and I will be showing our support behind the counters of Mcdonald's :)
After all, the core value of drinking good beer is to be happy and to bond fellowships. (your emo self loathing drinking alone session isn't quite in that category though :P)
Probably my first CNY campaign launch for any alcohol brand in Malaysia, Carlsberg Malaysia definitely left a deep impression and a high personal benchmark in my heart.
With one of the most enigmatic symbols in the Chinese zodiac set to make its entrance for the Lunar New Year, Carlsberg scaled new heights by unveiling a one-of-a-kind 16 feet high ‘Tree of Abundance’ at the launch of its Chinese New Year (CNY) national campaign at the Nine Emperor Gods Temple here today.
Inspired by the money tree plant which is said to bring good fortune to all who receive it, the towering, golden-hued Carlsberg ‘Tree of Abundance’ aptly symbolizes the brand's bountiful 2013 CNY theme 'May your prosperity reach new heights this Chinese New Year.
Arrived at the significant Nine Emperor Gods Temple in Ampang, Carlsberg always like to dish in that thick thematic taste to it's events and a Temple is a perfect place full of Chinese Heritage and the spirit of CNY to go around as well.
Upon arrival guest were already presented with bottles of Ice Cold Carlsberg and several snack stores located around the stage area accompanied by a mini chinese orchestra to further envelop the whole venue with the CNY zest :)
After a couple of Carlsbergs and as the sun slow sets to give that dusk atmosphere, an impressive lady took up the microphone and introduced herself. She was none other den local actress/host Lynn Lim who manages to showcase her impressive freehand Emcee skills, a great personality on and off stage as we managed to have a small chat with her as well.
She would be an awesome friend to have around seeing that her energy level is electrifying.
The ever familiar face of Soren Ravn, Managing Director of Carlsberg Malaysia greeted everyone with a word or two in chinese and proceeded to talk about the story and meaning behind this years campaign with loads of prospetiry to be given away and more fun with the Carlsberg beer! Soren is always a great chap to have around as you can see he embraces the people who cheers him on and often makes a good and positive vibe around.
After the speech, the rest of the Carlsberg directors proceeded to move to the top of the two tiered stages and was asked to pour a bottle of Carlsberg EACH into the golden found in the middle to mark the launch of this years CNY event.
The launch was acompanied by the crackling of the firecrackers and flamboyant releases of Confetti and fireworks followed by the arrival of Lions and God of prosperitys on to the stage :).
The night commences with various acts such as 72 rhythm drums performances, Lion dance act and a solo opera act by a realyl pretty lady :).
The spinning hovering Lion Dance troupe. XD
The night continues with fellowship and laughter around the tables of the guest and of course the friends and I were having a great time as well!
One must not forget the people who decided to have all of this as well!
Soren Ravn mentioned that:-
"By welcoming the Year of the Snake with the Carlsberg 'Tree of Abundance' and our most rewarding consumer promotion ever worth RM6.8 million in cash and other giveaways, we encourage our consumers to adopt the positive virtues of the snake which include intelligence, determination and being highly intuitive so they can harvest an abundance of prosperity and good fortune throughout the year. Our whole-hearted wish is for consumers to unleash their positivity and good fortune.”The Carlsberg 'Tree of Abundance' will soon embark on a road show across Peninsular Malaysia to spread prosperity and positivity to consumers in the brand's inimitable way, as part of the RM6.8 million Carlsberg CNY consumer campaign. This massive giveaway makes it the biggest ever campaign of its kind where lucky consumers can receive either RM11,888 or RM1,188 in ang pows besides other prizes in kind. Carlsberg has increased the value of giveaways by close to RM2 million compared to the year before. The consumer campaign will end on February 24 or while stocks last. "
So if you are going to win big money you best be drinking your favorite Carlsberg at anytime and anywhere, it would be wise to keep yourself updated on the Carlsberg Facebook page as well to see where our Tree of Abudance will be making it's appearance!
The night went on smoothly and happily with joyous Chinese New Year instrumentals being played at the background accompanied by the happy chatters of the guests :)
The Carlsberg girls would like to say bye as well.
and I will see the rest of you readers at the next post as well!
Thank you to Carlsberg Malaysia for such hospitality and great stuff, definitely looking forward to a 2013 filled with mostly Carlsberg :)

What's it about:-Things gets a little bit old vs new when Grandfather and grandmother agrees to take care of 3 young 21st century kids while their parents are away for the weekend. Billy Crystal (Grandpa) is going to show these runts the old way of handling things but how does these tech savvy new generation kids going to take it in?
