Malaysia's Hottest Blogger gang snatching a pic with the backdrop for the Hennessy Artistry Penang party!

Oh yea! Before we get down to the partying, here are some of the bloggers and media at the Meet & Greet session too!

Clevermunkey, Kelly, Ashley Khoo, Caroline

Kitt and Alif from the Magazine side, nice people!
While many of the faces were not uncommon anymore, it was still great to be able to travel with the whole bunch of them up to Penang for a good time of partying! All thanks to the awesome Hennessy Malaysia once again! :)

We waited patiently will sipping the good tasting Cognac of Hennessy for the real show to begin, DJ Ramsey Westwood was warming the crowd up with an absolutely stunning set.

Soon after we could hear the crowd cheering as the night was about to officially begin! Suki came up first, DJ Ramsey was mixing it up in the background a very nice combo of awesome beats and beautiful voice.

Suki sure showed us that her win at the One In A Million contest definitely was not a fluke, she left a very strong impression in many of the crowd and certainly impress me very much as well.

I will definitely look forward to her future performances and songs as well, support Suki! haha

Next up, * screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeam* ouch! The girls went wild at the SQCC, Straits Quay Convention Centre, oh yes, the famous taiwan pretty boys, Lollipop F came up stage with a strong number and left the girls in awe.

They suddenly gave a very strong aura and did a great job at entertaining the crowd with great dance moves and a wide display of showmanship, you cant ask for more from them. They were sweating like no tomorrow. :)

After their performance the night went to the DJs Andy Moor and DJ Ernest C who both gave the night of good beats with Hennessy!

Met a few new friends and also Nic Chang who is still studying in Penang and stays in Ipoh.

Once again, pictures was of course showered everywhere and here are some!

Mr Henry and Mr Isaac both spotting nice outfits for the awesome night!

The KDU spokesperson of Penang Ms Jessica, Famous Isaac Tan, The random me, and the funny girl Nic Chang, it was the first time many of us met her despite her crap on FB haha.

Nic Chang and her so called bodyguards who just wanna come and party but she assumes they came for her,

Magdeline and Naomi with Tim Chew tasting some fine Cognac of Hennessy :)

The Girlfriend and I, yeap yeap you will be seeing a whole lot more of her now <3.

That Hennessy Artistry Penang 2012 Weekend :)

6 comments :

To those that have been following my online persona closely, or bombarded by the amount of spams on my social media accounts,

I was invited as a guest blogger to the H-Artistry Penang 2012 party! Held at 3 massive venue every year, the Penang chapter marks the beginning of the trilogy and we will be seeing 2 more huge parties come September and November. So be sure to stay tune for those ya?

Woke up reeeeeal early to be driven down by Choulyin accompanied by my Hui Min, Henry and I will be taking the plane as part of the all expense paid trip there.

Choulyin and Hui Min would later follow Jackie up by car, they didnt mind the ride so I guess it's only fair to let them come. :)

Upon arriving Penang Airport which was under heavy renovation to become a mini KLIA, we were shuttered to Straits Quay Convention Centre immediately.

We sat in the coach in high spirit while being mildly entertained by Uncle Lee our coach master and tour guide, he did try really hard to entertain us with his jokes and knowledge of the Island, Kelly was really interested with what he has to say while the rest just enjoyed the company and enthusiasm. XD

It was my first time being at Straits Quay Convention Centre, it has an open Bazaar and a open air Concoure which a stage for hip hop was set up for the weekend.

It reminded me of Giza, but with really high class shops, the cheapest food would be Pappa rich there, so you can imagine what standards am I looking at.

Here, with a little bump here and there we managed to be on our way to the restaurant where we will be treated to some nice seafood menu, around this time we were being rushed subtlely as we were on a tight schedule for the afternoon :)

Here we are, Blue Reef Fish & Chips... a pretty simple restaurant that serves a variety of seafood themed dishes, the interior design was simple but gave a taste of the deep blue sea.

For some odd reason, Henry and I decided to share a 2 person seafood platter with Beer battered Cod fish as the main. We wanted to have a grand looking dish and thankfully it came out right. XD

Everyone else had roughly the same dishes with just difference in fish type and the way it is handled, except for one particulat gamer girl of the year.

There was one among us who decided to grab a sandwich instead, don't ask me what sandwich cause I have no idea, another thing to note was the level of sleepiness that this particular individual was off the chart, she kinda made everyone lazy as well. We wil never forget that look on her dozy face. LoL

I just had to snap a pic of this guy, quite photogenic and always smiling the whole way but i guess that's his job la hahah. Well, he DID serve me my first glass of Hennessy for the weekend :)

MTV VJ Rich commenced the meet & greet session with a simple intro which den proceeded to introducing the artist one by one, everyone came out according to their cue and sad down at the stolls prepared for them by the bar.

After a series of questions such as " how do you find Malaysia, is this your first time here,. what would you be spinning tonight" we bid farewell to the artist and wished them all the best and have great fun for the fantastic night to come.

After waiting for about 1 hour we finally checked in to our hotel, mind you it was a single room with a king sized ( two single stuck together) bed with a Sony bravia LCD. I had the Sea view which was awesome! :) It's been so long since I stayed at a hotel XD.

After just resting for an hour, we were back in the bus all dressed up for the party. Henry was pretty excited, some of the girls decided to stay back to get their hair done and skip dinner.

Our dinner was Japanese food, and here we are at Hisago. Located at a corner in Straits Quay Convention Centre. We were lucky that there werent any customer yet!

I ordered this succulent meat set and had rice along with it, it was very soft and tasty. After some small chit chat and drinking of Green Tea, we were all set for Hennessy Artistry Penang 2012 ! :)

The ever so friendly Hennessy Ambassadors are always there to greet party goers. The reception was done quite efficiently as there didnt seem to be a long que to get in XD, nice job here.

The girls at the bar were very hyper as well, kept everyone happy while pouring drinks, but it is very normal for ppl to react that way, but they were very spirited la. :)

Played a little game of pong something, first to lose out. Alif, Kitt, and itu gamer girl tapao-ed me sigh. But it was fun la.

So as you can see the crowd rocked the zones and the party was brightly lit with many amazing performances which i will share in my next post :)

For some photos of the event of people check them out here :)

Given the superpowers of a beetle

1 comment :

The insect, beetle is the most massive species of insect. Almost 40% species of insects are related to the original beetle. There about 400,000 species of know beetles and this will lead to the extensive ability of each insect.

The superpower that I would like to have, (given that spiderman got his from a spider even though a spider is an animal)  is the power of the beetle, not just one but all the most useful powers of the beetles, a little less short of sprouting ugly wings to fly<-- this i can manage without.

Super Strength and Hardskin will be my forte, bullets and knives wont destroy me, I could even survive a nuclear blast just like the cockroaches. Lifting heavy objects or even breaking buildings would not be a problem.

Certain beetles are also known to be fast and quick, i might not be as fast as the flash but quick reflexes and superhuman agility is good enough for those pesky bullets that need a lot of dodging.

Beetles are also smart and quick to adapt so with all these new technology coming about I can even develop a medabot that will be my sidekick in fighting crime.

A robot companion would be great for scouting and handling massive amount of enemy, especially if I equip it with an arsenal of melee and ranged weapons. :)

If that is not enough, I also will have two beetle type pets, one is a pokemon and the other a digimon.

Meet Heracross and Herculeskabuterimon. This two is badass enough to handle adversaries on their own each with their own set of skills. Lethal as ever!

Oh yes, remember that thing that I mentioned saying that I can fly? I think I will be designing a suit much inspired by the Kamen Rider Kabuto. Here is a mock of how it might look like.

So seeing that the Amazing Spiderman will be busy with his movie premieres, I think i shall pick up his slack and go fight crime myself.

Time to nab those idiots that has been menacingly robbing people at our car parks and other places!

Apples disappearing in high traffic area around Klang Valley! Mystery Man is the cause.

3 comments :
NEWSFLASH!
Mystery Man taking all the apples in high traffic areas in Klang Valley, will we face apple shortage?

It seems that there is a video circulating on the web lately about apples disappearing all around high traffic areas in Klang Valley areas.

Mercato and One Utama were among the first to be the victims of this incident, consumers also said that a mystery man with a thick beard was seen snatching up all the apples!

"He even took it right out of my basket!" said A , who was on his daily routine to get some sundry at a supermarket!

Is this a syndicate to take away all our apple supply? No more apple juice? Apple pie or just a juicy apple?

I found a video on youtube showing a security footage of this mysterious man taking all the apples, he seems happy about it.

Maybe you guys should have a look and see what's going on. The man might appear near you! .

A clue was left after the video, it seems it has something to with this--> CLUE<---, time to have a look.

Samsung Galaxy S3 : What does it have?

1 comment :

As you know, i attended the Samsung Galaxy S3 launch and was one of the first in Malaysia to be shown what the phone can do.

To be honest, most of the things did not really stun me but it sure did a number to the crowd though.

Let's get started with what the SGS3 packs behind it's casing!

Screen:
4.8” Super Amoled HD display
Storage:
16/32/64GB depending on model, plus expandable MicroSD card
Colour:

Pebble blue or marble white
Battery:
2,100mAh (wireless charging optional extra)
Camera:
8MP rear; 1.9 MP front
Resolution:
720 x 1280 px (306ppi)
RAM:
1GB
Dimensions:
136.6 x 70.6 x 8.55 mm
Weight:
133g
Operating System:
Android 4.0.4
Processor:
Exynos 4 Quad (1.4GHz)

The key points that you should be seeing in this short mention is the Battery which is 2100 mAh and is said to be have a wireless charging function, so we are hoping this will solve the problem of wires being tangled! However, just how fast the battery charges is another mystery.

Another thing you should be looking for is the Front camera, which is a 2MP camera (1.9MP) which is very strong considering most high device uses a 1.3MP camera at most, the 2MP upgrade enables you to take a variett clear self shots that most camera are not capable off at the moment, but I have a feeling it would be a matter of time before other brands will catch up :).

Everything else, from the screen size and technology to the processors and operating system are much as anyone would have suspected, a quad-core processor for speedy and lagless multitasking ( we hope) and the latest Android OS to boost it's internal functions.

A much power packed device at first glance, Samsung considers this new device to be made for ultimate human convenience and has since developed key features that would be the highlight of the SGS3.

Here are the few key features.

What it does: The S beam let's you share images and files wirelessly across two SGS, file transfers would be just a tap on the phone.

My opinion: It is no doubt quite a useful concept, but to only allow sharing between SGS3 phones is kinda troublesome not to mention defeating the purpose of free open sharing from it's operating system the android.  As cool as it may be, I find it not as useful as it describes.

What it does: It knows when you want to make a call to the sender of your message, after reading a message simply place the phone next to your ear and it will automatically make the call for you.

My opinion: This is quite a convenient new feature that saves some time when you are on-the-go and might not have the "handpower" to reply messages, simply just make a call, it also looks pretty cool cause it calls the user automatically.

What it does: Probably the first of it's kind, the Pop up Play, is the same thing as how some televisions have a picture in picture function, with this you can minimize your videos to a small screen and go about your other  work.

My opinion: A very good idea, if it was not limited to only videos it would be so much more awesome, imagine being able to open 4 windows of tabs for messaging or edit multiple images at once. It is a good step towards a key feature in smartphones.

What it does: It's the Samsung version of the Iphone Siri, heck even the name suggests Siri...

My opinion: Perhaps the most boring thing introduced by the SGS3, it works the same as Siri, and perhaps even more in effective, I am thinking unless the phone has a mind to think on it's own, it will take a long time before humans to actually be able to order phones to do stuff accurately.

What it does: Tag your friends once in a photo and see all their details when you look at the photo again.

My opinion: A very obvious stalking tool that i doubt many would be using, we are hardly over the use picture as contact photo phase yet, how many would bother tagging all their pictures just to see their status whenever they feel like viewing old photos?

What it does: Whenever there are unanswered calls and messages, the Smart Alert will vibrate to remind you that there are still things you have not done.

My opinion: I dunno whether it is smart, but it sure comes in handy when you are a person who always forgets about the things at hand when you are busy.

What it does: The feature that engages you in a stare down contest with the SGS3 as long as you are looking at it, the screen does not turn off.

My opinion: I am not sure if it's just me, but if I wanted to keep my screen on I would just tweak the original setting of the phone to keep it always on, and if I want to off it, i would just press the screen lock/power button that locks and offs the screen.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

There are a lot of other cool things about the SGS3 that the commercials and demo forgot to highlight, the processor is pretty powerful and helps with multitasking, I was running on 25 apps at once and it didn't even flinch while I was playing a HD game, so that shows that the multitasking part was done really well, after all what we want is a lagless smartphone.

The Super Amoled 4.8" screen packs a good punch when it comes to viewing HD videos and images on the phone, the colors are very much super vivid and really colorful for viewing pleasure.

So if you are looking for a smartphone which is fast and vivid, the SGS3 is a good choice to consider and it comes with cool features that I have mentioned above, it might not mean much to me but I m sure you will some of it very useful.:)

All the main mobile network providers have plans for this phone now so be sure to check them all out!
