Epic Bak Kut Teh Hopping, 2 Bak Kut Teh outlets in one dinner session! Ah Ping and Ah Chuan Bak Kut Teh ss14

There was a plan for a certain group of people to have some lovely Bak Kut Teh on one fine evening, so we decided to give this Restoran Ah Ping Bak Kut Teh a try.

We arrived about 8 plus and the place was kinda packed but we managed to grab a table by the road side. We were all hungry as wolves hence wasted no time in ordering the food, the amount of people in that shop got our hopes high for the taste as we waited (not so) patiently for our delicious Bak Kut Teh to be served.

The vegie arrived first much to our disappointment :(

Then came the rice then only the Main pots!

We ordered 3 portion for each choice, which clearly was not enough for the 7 of us but we gobbled the food  down pretty fast whilst complaining about their slow response and unwillingness to add soup for us!

It's pretty heart breaking when you ask for extra soup and they come with a small bowl of it and it hardly fills have the pot!

Both the dry and soup Bak Kut Teh was only average, it did not have that really satisfying Bak Kut Teh taste to it!

Clearly unsatisfied and still hungry, we had 2 choices at the moment.

No.1 was to order more portion but that would risk slow service and waiting another half an hour.

No.2 was to hop to the next Bak Kut Teh shop and restart the whole process of eating Bak Kut Teh.

We decided to go with the latter seeing that we were not happy with the first one!

So for the first time ever in the history of mankind ( i think) we had a second Bak Kut Teh session straight after the first one!

The best thing was that we decided to let Mike order for us and he continued to order a total of 10 portion meal for us! Talk about ordering like a bawse! As we chatted and talked about how this was the first time we actually done this sort of thing, the food came!

Trust me this was 2 huge pot of pure glutton meat accompanied by 5 plates of Yau Char Kuey, we eat happily indulge in the Bak Kut Teh that tasted better then the first one.

The taste was more herbal like so it tasted more like Bak Kut Teh.

It didn't take long for us to finish up this meal as well, it was a satisfyingly sinful dinner but we all enjoyed ourselves in this two meals mainly because we get along quite well despite seldom coming out for a meal or two! Guess you don't need to meet frequently to be good company for each other!

We chatted away about traveling to Hong Kong, about recent events and even the music that we all listen to when we were younger, most of us come from different age gaps so it was quite entertaining to be talking about it differently.

All in all a good dinner session as we wrapped up with a picture and go home with a fatter belly but a warmer heart :).

Next time we go Hokkien Mee Jumping!
