Things That Has Become An Essential Item Nowadays, DON’T LOSE IT ALL, TIME TO GET DATA.

1 comment :
Even though the Spirit of Christmas runs high with everyone just like always, I am quite sure that some people are dealing with certain hardships especially Long Distant Relationships which has been seen to be the cause of many broken hearts.

It’s always assumed that relationships are blissful – but wait! It’s not all candies and kisses, sometimes there a lot of hardship to deal with and it can be really emotionally taunting and mentally demanding. What’s worse is, pairing the idea of a long distance relationship with the sad soppy case of losing communication.

How about this scenario below?

What’s going on? They seemed happy.

Coffea Coffee: How About A Place For Good Coffee?

Aside from the alcohol drinking, the movie screenings and the occasional events. It's always good to have a hang out hobby be it playing model trains, board games or even a healthy conversation of different interests. Having a good cup of coffee over a ambient location seems to fit that scenario well too!

Coffea Coffee brings the coffee culture with a strong of Korean taste.

Name: Coffea Coffee
Location: 8, Jalan Telawi 2 Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
Operational Hours: 9am to 11pm everyday

Coffee joints, traditional kopitiams and the commercialized "Kopitiam" are one of the top favorite spots for meetings, studies or even a friendly dinner of session. How many names you can think of when it comes to these more classy places for such activities? I am quite sure you can already name me 3 on the top of your head without even thinking much.

I am not much of a coffee drinker but I do know good tasting coffee when I taste it and many present today felt the same way about this place.

Serving a conservative menu of coffee that you will normally find at any similar cafes but striking a clear difference with the end result, I got chance to have sips after sips of aromatic coffee for this evening and it was a good experience.

I finally realize why so many people around me value the existence of such coffee.

The Madonna blend brings a slightly milder coffee experience with a fruity after taste.

Green Tea Latte adds a certain color to your daily dose and gives just the right amount of Zen

A variety of carefully selected Tea that gives alternative for those who don't take coffee

I couldn't boast on their menu selection or any fancy merchandise but this humble cafe does come with it's perk of well priced good coffee, carefully brewed styles and a smile to add that extra cream on your day.

"Drinks include hot beverage(tea/coffee), Ice blended varieties (coolist) and desserts for that afternoon snack"

The ambience provides quite a nice environment as well (consider yourself being one of those main characters in Korean dramas being alone and sipping away your coffee with a cheerful background music to boot)

Though it was not explained (or maybe I wasn't paying attention) The interior consists of an obvious 3 element fusion of metal, wood and stone creating a slight modern medieval feel that disguises itself in a soothing atmosphere. A perfect place for assignments, small meetings and of course a relaxing cup of coffee.

Lead by a team of Baristas of Korean Descent, the leading duo strives for the perfection of coffee brewers and the code it comes along. Brimming with confidence in their skills and coffee beans and a heart of sharing, the language barrier will be easily broken once they get the hang of it.

Passions speak in all forms and to add to that, Baristas as well as Bartenders are professions whom I find very inspiring and intersting because it is safe to say that most if not all of these people work with passion  and is shown through the drinks they serve and the smiles they give, much like artists and their drawings, DJs and their sets and Songwriters and composers with their music.

It's a nice spot for coffee lovers to hit, a cool environment for those looking for a chill and certainly one of those perfect places for an afternoon tea.

They bring an affordable price with a nice setting as well. So you should drop by for a try and maybe occasionally come back if it's right :). (More additions to the menu and branches coming soon too)

Movies: Jack Reacher 2012

What's it about:-
An AWOL Military elite detective comes back for an investigation of a Sniper shooting that involves 5 random victims that seems to unfold into a larger syndicate   Jack Reacher ( Tom Cruise) must now solve this case before he gets cornered and properly disposed off.

What are my thoughts on the movie:-
Overly done with the wrong dosage, Jack Reacher is a half ass movie with the following genre of crime, thriller, suspense, action and heroism. A plot that moves too convenient and is predictable after the first 30 mins that somehow dragged to a 2 hour long chase only to end up with nothing more than multiple dead bodies.

The stunts were low budget and seemed to be done by a disheartened choreography team and Tom Cruise's performance was more than just bad, it was annoying. His character was not even well developed which leads to a number of unlinked solutions at every turn of events. Most of the time he was just showing off his (not explained) detective skills that often leaves the female lead breathing very hard and close to his face.

The BGM's were coming out at the least favorable times and the action was less den amusing with him destroying his opponents most of the time in a very unconvincing way and to end it with a very cheap climatic fight.

The main antagonist, the one they called Zed was not even fearful looking and yet everyone listens to him like he has no choice, did i mention that he was severely handicapped as well? The villain played a very small impact on the suspense that the show wanted to project and failed to captivate me at all. It was slow and draggy up to the end.

I am sorry to say that it does not even live up to the old school feel that I was hoping for Jack Reacher, he felt like a batman wannabe movie.

Rating: 0.5/5

"If it weren't for the dead body counts, we would be calling this an action/comedy with a ridiculously convenient way of solving the case"

Movies: Here Comes The Boom 2012

No comments :

What's it about:-
When a school is forced to close down extra curricular activities for the reason of budget cuts and the life of a fellow teacher. Vince ( Kevin James) makes an impulsive stand to help the school raise funds and when the odds are against all his efforts he finds a way to raise the money. MMA fighting.

What are my thoughts on the movie:-
A clear bomb shelter for those who are overwhelmed by the battalion of huge year end hit movies , Here Comes The Boom does nothing more than just clears your mind a while and gives you a few jabs at the funny bone.

Kevin James has certainly made this kind of role his trademark even though it's nothing fresh but he does take it quite seriously, the hints of Zookeeper, Grown-ups, Mall cop and other movies certainly comes together here as well. It is yet another movie revolving around a clumsy goofy Kevin James Character doing what is right and teaching us all a lesson.

Overall, it's a predictable plot filled with a good set of punchline timing and heart warming and inspiring film for those who want to have a good laugh and feel good about the end of the year. It does help with you making your next year resolution too! :)

The fights are quite unrealistic coming from someone who watches MMA and UFC occasionally plus had a short course on the basics but it probably was enough to get most audience riled up, the first person camera scenes were new but limited. It's a film not to be taken serious on technicality.

Rating: 2.5/5

"Nothing to be taken seriously here, just Kevin James doing his thing and potentially influencing some people to actually do their work tomorrow :P. It's still funny and comes with a catchy song"

Movies: Wreck-It Ralph 2012

No comments :

What's it about:-
Ralph plays a villain in an arcade game call " Fix it Felix". Nicknamed "Wreck It Ralph" he was always the bad guy and is shun away by the civilians as well as so good guys as well because it was part of the system and the job, they still get their off time but Ralph was a bit more lonely than the others and he finally got fed up and decides to proof that he can also be good and win a medal like the heroes.

What are my thoughts on the movie:-
For any of you that was looking forward to this movie then many of you might find it disappointing with the promise of a nostalgia atmosphere for the movie, it turns out that those are just the mere marketing gimmick to attract people to watch the film especially the older generation who leaved through most of the games that was featured.

Stripping away the disappointment, Wreck-It Ralph was still a pretty good watch! It's dialogue was written to take on the tone of those you get in the white dialogue boxes of old games at least most of it was!

It quickly moved away from the nostalgia premise and shot off with it's own plot and story with the occasional cameos and comebacks but the flow was indeed quite fluid.

The colorful world was "Sugar Rush" was certainly one of the best part in the movie and of course the pretty decently created race sequences that gave a rather convincing circuit race and ending it with a slight surprise before the predictable happy ending.

My only complaint would be John C' Reily who was probably the weakest link when it came to voice acting as Jane lynch, Sarah Silverman and Jack McBryer were excellent at bringing the characters to life.

Despite certain inconsistency with some of the scenes and characters, the movie proved to be a joy ride that almost everyone would enjoy. Good action, a nice emotional chapter and a fluid happy ending!

Rating 3/5

"You find yourself strapped on the seats of a good ride throughout the animation and come out quite satisfied and much more relaxed".

Movies: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2 (2012)

1 comment :
Credits to Zaheer for the edit :P

What's it about:-
The finale that was long awaited by fans the whole year, the final chapter to the Twilight saga. The ending of a successfully sold book that turned into a successfully sold out film with 5 movies and huge fans and haters from around the world, the end of a supernatural love story and a totally annoying perception of a long lasting relationship.

Movies: Rise Of The Guardians 2012

No comments :

What's it about:-
An animation about Fairy tale characters who were chosen to guard the hopes and dreams of children and when someone dark from the past comes back for recognition and to stir the fear once again into the hearts of children, it is up to the guardians to protect them once again with the help of a new and young ally.

Chilling with Asahi Malaysia at Idarts Sunway Giza

1 comment :

It was a tiring week for some of us, but thank goodness that Asahi was calling some of us out for a gathering, and in true Asahi fashion, the night was a flowing tower of the Asahi Globe :).

It was a small happy hour session as usual, topped with the unique darting experience by Idarts Malaysia at Sunway Giza. It seems that this new trend has been darting into the hearts of the main drinking quarters of PJ and KL. I got no complaints on this fact because a good round of darts and great tasting Asahi was what I needed to cool off the work heat!
