Paranormal Activity 3

"Remember those creeks you here around the house or the pots and pans that clank in the middle the night, what about the whistling and shuffling which you always think it's the wind, paranormal activity takes you to a place and tells why exactly you should not mess with the things lucking in your house or old folks tale"- benjaminfoo

Toby the ghost/demon thing was really convincing, his heavy breathing was really good and the sudden moments and invisible stunts were pulled off quite well.

The two little girls did a good job at being frightened and obedient at the same time.

The rest of the cast did not perform much as it was mostly from a first person point of view but at least it wasn't awkward.

A prequel to the first two instalments, it gives a not so complete story telling as to why it all happened.

Fast paced with some scenes that give you hanging by the edge of the seat, the story build up fast and shows why or how it all began.

If you have not watch paranormal 1 and 2 than after watching this you would want to.

The general execution of the movie was done in a more traditional manner as the  year was 1988 and cctv and other surveillance equipments were still not accessible to the general consumers.

Setting up tripods and using a rotating fan as a moving camera was pretty neat.

The ending is sloppy, it was rushed and unpolished.

This maybe due to the fact that they want to reserve certain mysteries and leaving a little space for your imagination, though they did not leave us much to do so.

After knowing that there was INDEED something in the house, you don't go around playing ancient taboo games in the bathroom and hope nothing will happen. They were asking for it.

After much discussion with TheElwyn, Toninkush, and Kuromeowiiewe have concluded that no one in the right mind will still carry a huge camera at eye level using it as a replacement for his vision in a situation like this, it would make better sense if it was waist level swinging around. (now that you think of it, its quite funny)

The girls room was messed up after one of the night, beds were gone and stuff. The mother was never curious of it? Or did she choose not to believe it.

Wrapping it up:
Very decent scares here and there, gives a good amount of creepiness if you have not watched the other instalments.

Watch with your family ( it would be fun), and you will never see your house the same again *shrugs*

Did you know?:
This is a prequel to 2 previous instalments of the same name.

Rating: 2.5/5

Critic Mode:
"You would be thrilled to hear that i actually enjoyed the little moments of suspense and tension building up to the scare only to be mildly disappointed of the end result of each suspense".-benjaminfoo
