Auntie Juliet's Garden Cafe

8 comments :

Long before Full House and Garden Cafe were sprouting all over malls and complexes, in the town of Kota Kemuning there was a cozy and homely cafe named "Auntie Juliet's Garden Cafe". As the name would suggest it is themed around garden ornaments and plants of different variety.

You can see that the whole cafe is decorated by tropical plants that are found in Malaysia, i believe the garden cafe concept should be determined by the place that it is being set up. If you are in Japan , the garden cafe should have sakura trees or something like that so i like how it feels local but classy at the same time.

The walls are decorated with photos and pictures that have interesting artworks and quotes to give out a pleasant aura of the place.

Auntie Juliet offers a fushion concept that brings western and the local dishes together with prices ranging from RM7- RM30 many of each can be upgraded to include free flow of ice water and a specialty dessert.

Grilled Australian Lamb with homemade mint sauce and a potato salad side dish
Comment: The lamb is grilled to a nice crisp that makes it crunchy but still succulent, the potato salad are good as well, the mint sauce is really strong and goes well with the lamb.

Ariel & Nemo Combo: Dory Fish Fillet with A Prawn and Fries comes with a Thick Mushroom Gravy.
Comment: I don't know why it's called that, the unique thing about this is the dory fillet because instead of being fried in bread crumbs the chef used egg instead and it gives a nice flavour to it, the mushroom gravy goes great with everything, but only one prawn takes away some of the thrill. ='(

Bread Pudding with Ice Cream on top
Comment: The bread pudding is freshly made and very very hot inside, but when u eat it with the delicious ice cream a melting sensation surfaces mmmmm~ =3.

Chococlate Brownies with Chocolate Sauce and a scoop of ice cream

Comment: Fresh Chocolate brownies with hot chocolate sauce and cold sweet ice cream. The perfect blend for chocolate and dessert lovers!

People around the neighborhood come to this place all the time and most of it is all thanks to Auntie Juliet's friendly services and personality that you take her more like a friend than an owner to a wonderful cafe.

If you are looking for a place further outside of KL, i suggest this would be a nice getaway place for gatherings or dinner for two!

Address:
43, Jalan Anggerik Vanilla N 31/N, Seksyen 31, Kota Kemuning, Shah Alam, 40460
same row as Maybank and Hong Leong Bank.

I live nearby here and have been this place a couple of times. She is very friendly and knows us very well but service can be rushed sometimes as its always packed with people.
