Aloud Asia Vol 2 - The Concert Day

1 comment :
For those who don't know what Aloud Asia is about check out the links below

A great event organized by a group of wonderful people, I support Aloud Asia because it provides a great platform for local artists to perform and show us what they got.

Although not highly publicized or supported, artist in Malaysia has great talent and great showmanship that is on par with any other international artist around, it is best to experience it yourself.

Don't worry if you missed Aloud Asia Vol 2, Vol 3 should be right around the corner, subscribe to me or like my page -->〈--- as i continue to keep you guys posted on it these events.

This time around Aloud Asia was held at an earlier time in the same venue as the previous one, Bentley music auditorium at 3pm - 6.30pm.

Why so early? quoted from Sasithedon " because you will have the longest Saturday ever rocking so early"

Without further ado, i would like to introduce the people who performed for Aloud Asia Vol 2.

The opening act was performed by Eliza Thomas

Qbean Dessert

Cute bean dessert? Qbean Dessert?

There is a new dessert player in town and it's hitting the healthier pathway with natural sweetness and smoother taste.

Soya Milk and Tau Fu Fah have always been a great dessert for Malaysians and you can get it at the night market and the soy milk trucks that are everywhere.

What if you are in a mall and you are looking for something like that?

Qbean Dessert brings soya bean products to a different stage where different flavors and methods are blended in to produce a range of healthy and cooling desserts.

The design of the shop is fresh with green and white goodness, Qbean can also be said as Cute Bean in today's slang hence you can see the soy bean blushing which is kinda cute.

The menu have a variety of soy milk soft serve ice cream as well as shakes and ice blended products.
There are 5 different flavors here, see if you can figure out which is which

a)Oreo-Very nice flavor filled with Oreo goodness!

b)Peanut-Peanut was really crunchy!

c)Rainbow-Lets just say i feel happy!

d)Strawberry-Taste just like strawberry Sundae but healthier!

e)Chocolate- Goes well with the ice cream!

Comment: The unique point is that instead of milk from dairy cows, the ice cream is made with 100% fresh soy beans grounded everyday and imported directly from Canada, there soy freshness can be tasted even with the toppings. Could this be a new health trend?

There are also drinks on the menu for those who want to quench their thirsts.
There are a lot of choices to choose from and we got to taste

a)Green Tea- Very strong green tea taste, me likey!

b)Chocolate- Taste a bit funny, but it's very subjective!

c)Syrup-Very sweet and nice, sweet tooths will love this!

Comment: These drinks are powdered and made with fresh soy milk so it's very different from those sweetened milk tea that is very popular right now and i think this can be the new health trend soon!

The other drinks on the menu are the fruit blend juices that are made with soy milk and fresh fruits, they are very nice and definitely a must try when you visit Qbean Malaysia.

Besides the cold desserts, Qbean also offers some snacks to fill your tummy.

This is the Soy Porridge , The porridge is cooked with Soya Bean extract and gives a very refreshing fill when tasted.

Comment: A very unique style of cooking, the taste is good and pleasant, but a little bland to suit my taste.

What is a Soya Bean shop without Tau Fu Fah right?

Comment: The Tau Fu Fah is very smooth and the sugar that is allocated is just nice to enjoy the Tau Fu Fah.

Final remarks: If you are looking a healthy refreshment zone, Qbean is a definite must try as they offer a healthier alternative to the dessert industry!

Find them on facebook:

They can be found next to Subway in One Utama.

One Ted Talk a day~ Ken Robinson says schools kill creativity

1 comment :
"Creativity expert Sir Ken Robinson challenges the way we're educating our children. He champions a radical rethink of our school systems, to cultivate creativity and acknowledge multiple types of intelligence."- Ted page.

Sir Ken Robinson is a great inspiration to me when i was still studying my degree, 1st year in my degree I was clueless and I had all this pent up energy but there was no where to channel it simply because schools and university tend to restrict anything that is consider different or potentially image wrecking and they never thought it could also go the other way. It's a 50-50 choice.

Talking on how schools bounds the creativity of children nowadays, I would one day want to be able to create a break through in how the education system is being monitored or carried out in the future, I cannot do this alone, but there is definitely hope for us.

Sir Ken Robinson showed me that many think the same way.

One Ted Talk a day~ Sasha Dichter: The Generosity Experiment

In January, I shared about and here is the post about it

 Benjamin's Ted post

Now I have decided to continue on this sharing of great talks and great ideas, because i truly believe in the idea that is trying to do, which is to share ideas and to inspire one another no matter where you are to the world.

Sasha Dichter: The Generosity Experiment from TED Blog on Vimeo.

Sasha is talking about an experiment that he started and gave out the facts and the truth to what one can actually do to start helping people.

The video is a little long for this one but it's definitely worth the watch especially from the middle part when you see the great things that one can achieve through feelings and passion. brings out inspiring talks from all fields of the industry and opens you up to a whole new world.

Some might bring inspirations while eithers might still be skeptical but always see things with an open heart and a willingness to find a way to inspire and engage.

Auntie Juliet's Garden Cafe

Long before Full House and Garden Cafe were sprouting all over malls and complexes, in the town of Kota Kemuning there was a cozy and homely cafe named "Auntie Juliet's Garden Cafe". As the name would suggest it is themed around garden ornaments and plants of different variety.

Jojo Little Kitchen- Kota Damansara, The Strand

The other evening, my family and i went to look around the neighborhood to see if there was anything to eat and found this restaurant in Encorp Strand formally known as The Strand, Kota Damansara.

Its menu is based on the traditional noodle style known as Pan Mee. The special thing about this restaurant as to other Pan Mee places that are all over the place now is the variety it brings. You get at least ten types of different soup based and ways to eat with Pan Mee, from Herbal Soup, to Fish Head Soup.
