Meet The Parents, Little Fockers

No comments :

Movie in a glimpse
A third installment to the Meet The Parent franchise, this movie brings the family up to the Children’s phase. A health problem led Jack (De Niro) to start pondering about the future welfare of his family and his daughter’s as well. A heavy burden was brought on to the shoulders of Gaylord Focker (Ben Stiller) his son in law which brings forth a series of mishaps and misunderstanding a long the way.

My talk:
Firstly, if you want to get the best out of the movie u would probably need to watch the previous two because most of the jokes are long running ones that have a base set up strongly in the previous installments , even though there were some funny moments in the show it didn’t struck me as a good enough movie let alone for it to be released during the Christmas season . A comedy family movie that didn’t warm any heart and soul of the audience I must say, the jokes were predictable and popping in front of my face like its forcing me to laugh.

I did laugh out loud at some parts but mostly due to the fact of the name Focker which after three movies really starts to feel like they are actually saying fucker now.

The movie went in a way that the plot still focused on the relation between Jack and Gay while it clearly should be using the Kids as the main problem the family is having at the moment.

Weak jokes and plot messed it up more than ever this time as the chemistry between De Niro and Ben clearly dropped.

Favorite scene:

Spoiler alert
The part where Focker junior drew a picture of Ben injecting into the penis of De Niro when asked to draw a picture that reminds him of them.

Favorite Quote:

Spoiler Alert
When Gay told his Dad that he didnt do anything with Alba his dad said, "son, we're Fockers we don't do that sort of thing.

Stamped and mailed:
A movie with a few laughs but probably great for the baby boomer audiences, nothing special but a movie that has clearly overstayed in the active movie industry. Watch it with your parents and aunts, they would have some laugh.

Rating : 2/5
